• About

Hello, I'm Heather Dewar and I am so glad you are here! The decision to seek therapy takes a great deal of courage and knowing you are not alone can provide strength and comfort. Life can be unpredictable and overwhelming, and I believe each person is unique in how these challenges will impact their well-being. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients are able to share their stories and process difficult emotions at their own pace. I encourage my clients to learn more about themselves; and together we are able to identify patterns, build upon strengths, and develop tools they can use to promote growth and healing.

Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in a corporate setting and became increasingly aware that external markers of success may not always reflect an internal sense of joy or contentment. I wanted to connect with others on a deeper level and affirm they are being seen and heard as they cope with all facets of life. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to follow my passion of becoming a therapist and have found the life experiences I have gained as a professional, a wife, and a mother to be invaluable as I sit with clients. I view therapy as a collaborative process and encourage my clients to find their own voice as they explore and understand the unique narratives that have shaped their lives.
